Fall Orders 2024

After the rush of spring, we like to allow our flocks a rest and have all our chickens running together to enjoy the pastures and grasshoppers. With all our chickens together, we offer our Rainbow mix hatching eggs and chicks from August until October. Our rainbow mix gives you a variety of colours, from our darkest browns, blues, and many shades of green (mint, moss, olive, dark olive). Why fall? Fall chicks tend to be much hardier than spring chicks. Our weather in March is similar to September/October, and chicks will need heat no matter the season. Chicks hatched in the fall will begin laying just in time for spring. Many hens slow down or stop laying during winter months, so why not raise up some new layers during those winter months?
